Man, if you are looking for the BEST mac and cheese...hands down this is the place to stop into! The food was just nothing short of amazing and I will definitely be going back!
Do you love cheese? Do you love wine? Do you love good vibes? Then the Rind is the place for you! My friend and I had a girls day here recently after another friend consistently bragged about how great this place was so we needed to find out. We had an amazing experience that was both delicious and fun. We ordered the T-Brie-D and Not Your Dad's Mac to share and both dishes were absolutely drool worthy! The T-Brie-D was warm, gooey and, savory. The. Mac and cheese was rich and also savory with my favorite Point Reyes blue cheese. It was easily one of the best mac & cheeses I've ever had. We each had wine to go with the cheesy goodness. I dont recall what I had but I do recall that my friend said the at the Moscato was easily the best moscato she's ever had. The atmosphere was great. The woman behind the bar was helpful and kind. We didn't even ask but when she brought us our sandwich that we planned to share she had it on two plates with two separate side salads. I definitely appreciated that. I was surprised by the music but in a good way. I wasn't expecting reggae and I was here for it. I enjoyed singing along. It was a fun and relaxing vibe. We had unexpected entertainment from someone dancing to the music out front. It was a quirky moment that gave us a good laugh. If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy great cheesy food, yummy wine, and a cool vibe then The Rind is the place for you. Cannot wait to come back and enjoy more cheesy goodness! My mouth is drooling just writing this review.
If you are a cheese lover and looking for a cute restaurant then check out The Rind! Went with a friend on a Monday afternoon around 12:30pm and it was not too crowded. We found parking in a garage nearby. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant! It was nicely decorated with plants and flowers, and there was nice background music. There is limited indoor seating. We ordered two glasses of the sparkling Rose, one cheese board, one French Onion grilled cheese with a cup of soup (roasted tomato is the only option), and one Twisted Classic grilled cheese with a cup of soup. Cheese Board (3/5): First time trying a cheese board! Beautiful presentation. Cheeses are already pre-selected so we were glad we didn't have to make another tough decision. We liked the fruit and jam but otherwise, the cheeses were good but nothing particularly unique. For $24, it was a bit expensive. Twisted Classic Grilled Cheese (3.5/5): My friend liked this one over the French Onion but I thought it was a little oily/salty. Would recommend getting the soup with it French Onion Grilled Cheese (4.5/5): I liked this one the best. The mustard and onion provided a different flavor and texture that I appreciated. A little oily but delicious sandwich. Also recommend getting the soup with it Roasted Tomato Soup (3.5/5): Paired well with the grilled cheeses. I thought it was a little light on its own and it could be a little more creamy/flavorful Overall, the food was a little pricey (total was $133 with tip) but it is a unique restaurant and I enjoyed the vibe. Service was good. I would come back to get the French onion grilled cheese again and try the Mac and cheese!
Not my first time here but similar experience to my previous one. Good vibes and attentive staff. The environmentally friendly menu you have to scan with your phone is a lost opportunity as not everyone wants to come to a restaurant and immediately get on their phone (at least this old fart doesn't). As I am in front of a screen all day I found it annoying but once food was ordered I was able to relax a bit. I like gazing at the cheese wall and the noise level was appropriate for the amount of people in the restaurant. Went with a classic grilled cheese and shared a cheeseboard. Really enjoyed everything but found one of the cheeses (can't recall the name but believe it was from the Netherlands) to be a bit on the bland side. Overall, had a great time and look forward to returning.
One of my favorite places to frequent when I feel like having a glass out of the house. I always enjoy the space-- inside & out. This time, I spent time here celebrating something of a milestone... and I enjoyed our selection. Surprisingly! The charcuterie board was sooooo good; the server who put it together we could tell she put some thought into it-- since every board is made to order. It was fantastic! Additionally, the wine we chose from the Crisp & Bright section of the menu paired really well. I look forward to circling back the next time I find myself celebrating.
DELICIOUS. I came here during a lunch break and it did not disappoint. The food is amazing - I did not get any drinks from the bar but was impressed with the variety. My favorite things was the roasted tomato soup (comes with a cheese crisp for a nice crunch), and the Triple-Brie-D sandwich. These are must try's. The lobster Mac and cheese is garlicky (I love garlic) and the lobster was delicious. These service was great and the store front is really nice. Although the storefront is small, I was able to get seated right away. I will be back the next time I want a grilled cheese or tomato soup. It's that amazing.
Stopped for a quick bite to eat before heading to the snow! We shared the twisted classic grilled cheese and secret soup. It was very delicious and warming on this rainy day! Great service and cute spot
This review is horribly overdue. First I have to say that I admire Sara Arbabian as a female entrepreneur and wonderful contributing member to community. She is part of what makes Sacramento a great place to live! We spent a most wonderful afternoon here. I hadn't been in a while and am kicking myself for letting it go so long. My guest was celebrating her birthday and still gushes about what a wonderful experience it was. The food was just incredible, the service (sorry I didn't get his name) was outstanding, and the whole patio vibe was intoxicating. Seriously, there is something on the menu for everyone. Please support your local community and those who give back to it. It's part of what makes Sacramento amazing.
The Rind has been on my list of places to dine at and it did not disappoint. The roasted tomato soup was very creamy and delicious. By far, one of the best tomato soup in the Sacramento area. The Brie LT was just okay. What I really enjoyed was the lobster Mac. It was extremely cheesy and creamy with loads of flavor in every bite. I love that this dish comes with cherry tomato's. Also, one of the best Mac and cheese in the Sacramento area.
